::U P D A T E S:: August 19th, 2008 Hey I'm just looking for a good time... Just a little over a week since my last update! Woot! I was going to update a few days ago, but I wanted to wait as long as I could because I'm going to be leaving Thursday to go to visit with some of my family and I wont be back till the end of the month, so the next update should only be a few days after the first if I'm not to worn out from my trip. :-) ::Art:: I got a pretty good art update this time, about 7 or 8 pieces. I'm been on a real art high lately, and it's totally FREAKING ME OUT. I don't know what's been up with me lately, but I almost hate to leave and be without PSP for over a week cause I'm afraid I'm gonna lose my stride, guess it's a chance I gotta take heh? Anyways, I think my art has really evolved compared to when I first opened my site, and I still think that there is an art fairy that hides out around my computer and works on my art when I'm not looking. LOL. ::Twisted:: I've been a big fan of using the swirl effect in my art, and I haven't used it in a while and I thought that it would work great to use these lyrics with it, and who doesn't love some hottie Brathan action? I'm not completely happy with the coloring and text, but I love the swirly-ness with Brathan. <3 ::Said No:::Okay, I absolutely LOVE this song, Taylor Swift has some awesome music and listening to her always inspires me even if I'm not using her song in the piece. I thought these lyrics went with the Peyton/Lucas/Brooke deal, so I used them. I usually don't like to work with Promo art, but once I got started I just let myself loose and had fun with the coloring and I love how it turned out. ::Butterfly::: First off I have to say that this piece was done between 4 and 6am, I was still on a art high (and Mountain Dew high apparently) and so I went ahead and did this idea instead of waiting to do it. I think I was half asleep and that fairy sneaked to my computer and did this because I still can't believe this was made by my hand. It didn't turn out how I had planned, it turned out like 100 times better. The quote came from a necklance I seen in a magazine, and I fell in love with the quote right away and I thought that it really fit Brooke. ::Scribbled Out::: I was listening to Paramore on the way home from the eye doc today and these lyrics just kinda stuck in my head, then the idea of Lucas cheating on Brooke, and so I just went from there. It didn't really turn out like I planned it to. It feels like something is off to me, but it could just be because I didn't use a texture in it, and I'm a texture addict. ::Big Guns::: John and I got back to our art battles, and this ones theme was vintage. I didn't have a clue to what I was doing, so I was pretty much going in blind doing this one, and I just kinda figured it out as I went. I don't think it turned out vintage, but even though its completely different than what I normally do I kinda like how it turned out. ^_^ ::Devil In Me::: [Version 2] Another art battle piece, this theme was Kate Voegele lyrics. I thought that these lyrics gave a nice twist to the Bela/Sam scene in Dream A Little Dream Of Me, and I had a lot of fun making this one. I love how the blending turned out, it just seemed to fit together like a puzzle. The coloring was a challenge, because I'm not a big fan of reds in my art, but it just fit the scene so well I finally settled on one I liked. There's two versions because after I finished the text on the first one, John said it was a bit dark and hard to read, so I did another one and then I couldn't decide which one I liked better so I posted them both. ::The Sun::: Monica spent the night again this past weekend and we gave art another go. We're both big Twilights fans, so that's what we decided to do. Monica had a really great idea, and she found some good pictures, but I guess I was just off that night because I don't think I did her idea justice at all. I doubt I'll ever art Twilight again, I'll just make Monica do it from now on. Haha. ::Affiliates:: I got two more lovely new affies to add!
